The 1078RR was the first Brutale to use the 1078 cc four-cylinder from the F4, tuned to 154 hp and fitted with Brembo radial calipers, a 50 mm Marzocchi fork and forged wheels. It was the extreme, more compact predecessor of the later 1090 family.
